Be aware of scams

Scammers play on our sense of fear. If you’ve been contacted without warning and told your pensions are at risk and you need to move them to a safe place, this is a scam.

Scammers make you feel like you need to make urgent decisions, even when they have long-term consequences. If you’re being encouraged to take lump sums from your pensions or feel rushed into making a decision, this could be a scam.
